Oakland, California (July 26, 2021) – Two people were sent to the hospital after a major injury collision that took place Monday afternoon in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities said the wreck occurred at around 2:22 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, near the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Toll Plaza.
Two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
First responders found one person going in and out of consciousness.
Two people were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries and the other with the complaint of pain.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
