1 Injured in Oakland Car Accident on 580 Freeway near the 35th Avenue
Oakland, California (September 17, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision was reported in Oakland on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at about 6:02 p.m. September 16, in the westbound lanes of Interstate 580 Freeway near the 35th Avenue on-ramp.
A silver sedan and an SUV were involved in the accident. Although the manner in which the accident happened was not immediately established, the sedan is reported to have overturned after the collision.
One person was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by the paramedics who responded to the incident.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
