Nuevo, CA: Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Ramona Expressway
1 Killed, 5 Injured in Nuevo Big Rig Accident on Ramona Expressway near Lakeview Avenue
Nuevo, California (February 8, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Monday afternoon traffic accident involving a big rig that killed one person and left five other persons injured in Nuevo.
The deadly multi-vehicle accident transpired at about 4:10 p.m. on Ramona Expressway, near Lakeview Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer collided with several other vehicles on the two-lane corridor for undetermined reasons.
Following the collision, the big rig went down an embankment, the officials said.
5 Injured in Fatal Crash on Ramona Expressway
Sadly, one person was ejected from one of the vehicles. The party was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other parties sustained moderate to major injuries in the accident. Most of the patients were taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, while one was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
