70-Year-Old Novato Woman Killed in Novato Pedestrian Accident on Novato Boulevard

Novato, California (January 19, 2019) – An elderly woman has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Novato on Friday evening, according to a police report.
The accident occurred on Novato Boulevard near the entrance to Novato Fair Shopping Center at about 6 p.m. January 18.
Police said the 70-year-old woman from Novato was not in the crosswalk when a southbound Nissan Maxima struck her.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the investigators.
Police are working to find out the cause of the crash.
