61-Year-Old Norwalk Woman Killed in South El Monte Pedestrian Crash at San Gabriel Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard

South El Monte, California (December 18, 2020) – A 61-year-old Norwalk woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday evening near the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 6:20 p.m., on December 17, at the intersection of San Gabriel Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the female pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway when a 2001 GMC truck, driven by a 28-year-old La Puente man, struck her.

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
