Man Killed in Fiery Northridge Pickup Truck Crash on Lindley Avenue near Chase Street

Northridge, California (February 10, 2019) – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a fiery pickup truck crash in Northridge, according to authorities.
The tragic accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9 on Lindley Avenue, just north of Chase Street.
Police said the man was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound on Lindley Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a car that was parked along the east side of Lindley Street.
The pickup truck then continued northbound and hit a curb and tree. The vehicle burst into flames after the impact.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the flames. The driver was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Bureau is investigating the crash. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call the LAPD at 877-527-3247.
