North Hollywood, California (July 8, 2021) – Injuries were reported following a traffic collision involving four vehicles in North Hollywood, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The multi-vehicle crash happened at about 2:12 p.m. on the northbound side of 5 Freeway near Empire Drive.

According to the CHP, four vehicles collided for unknown reasons in the leftmost lane of the freeway.

One of the involved vehicles, a Nissan Sentra, burst into flames after the crash.

Medical personnel responded to the scene to render aid to the parties involved. The identities of the patients and the extent of their injuries were not immediately disclosed.
