Norris Whittington Killed in Truck Accident on Pomona Freeway near Diamond Bar Boulevard
Baldwin Park, California (August 31, 2020) – A truck driver was killed in a collision in Baldwin Park on Monday morning in Baldwin Park.
The deadly collision happened on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway at Diamond Bar Boulevard at about 1:10 a.m.
55-year-old Norris R. Whittington Sr. of Bellflower had been driving a flatbed tractor-trailer on the roadway when he swerved to avoid a slow-moving vehicle, causing a crash.
A piece of heavy equipment fell off the truck onto the roadway. At least fifteen vehicles are reported to have struck the debris.

One driver and a passenger complained of pain but declined to be taken to the hospital.
Whittington Sr. was killed in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
