Nipton, CA: Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 15
Rider Hospitalized after Nipton Crash on Interstate 15 at Halloran Springs Road Off-Ramp
Nipton, California (February 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle Friday evening in Nipton, as per a California Highway Patrol report.
At around 7:10 p.m., a car of unknown make and model hit a rider on a blue Yamaha R1 motorcycle on southbound Interstate 15 at the Halloran Springs Road off-ramp.
The rider was left lying down in the No. 2 lane and the motorcycle in the center divider.
A Good Samaritan stopped to help the victim.
Firefighters responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not give any information about the hit-and-run driver and car.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
