Ontario, California (July 6, 2021) – Nilson Ariel Tucabal, 20, sustained critical injuries in an Ontario pedestrian crash that left one other person dead Monday morning, according to a local news source.

The deadly collision happened at Euclid Avenue and Riverside Drive 

At around 11:15 a.m. July 5, police said two fruit vendors, Tucabal and Eduardo Rabinal, 32, were crossing Riverside Drive near Euclid Avenue with their cart when they were hit by a vehicle.

Rabinal died in the accident.

Nilson Tucabal Critically Injured in Fatal Ontario Pedestrian Crash 

Tucabal sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

The driver, Jessica Dewet, 43, of Chino, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and later arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Police are conducting an investigation into the accident.
