Authorities ID’d Victim Airlifted After Amador Rollover Crash on Latrobe Road near Lorentz as 23-Year-Old Nicholas Darrow
Nicholas Darrow Seriously Hurt in Amador DUI Car Accident on Latrobe Road near Lorentz

Amador, California (September 8, 2020) – 23-year-old Nicholas Darrow, of Plymouth, has been identified as the male party who sustained serious injuries following an alleged DUI car accident that happened early Saturday morning in Amador.
The single-vehicle crash took place at about 2:20 a.m., September 5, on Latrobe Road near Lorentz Road.
The mishap happened when a Ford F250 driven by 22-year-old Mitchell Lubenko, southbound on Latrobe Road, swerved into the opposite lanes and slammed into a barbed wire fence and large oak tree.
Lubenko, a Plymouth resident, was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
Nicholas Darrow Amador Car Crash on Latrobe Road
Darrow sustained major injuries following the wreck. He was airlifted by medical helicopter to Sutter Roseville for further medical aid.
Lubenko survived with minor injuries following the collision. He was later arrested and booked into the Amador County jail for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
