Newhall Pass, California (September 18, 2020) – One person was hospitalized Friday afternoon following a traffic accident involving a motorcycle in the Newhall Pass, according to a local news source.

The motorcycle crash happened at about 3:48 p.m. on Interstate 5, just north of 14 Freeway.

Authorities said a motorcyclist was possibly struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and rendered to one person who was injured as a result of the crash.

The patient was then taken to a hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.

The roadway was closed due to the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
