Needles, California (May 25, 2021) – One person was airlifted to a hospital after a traffic accident in Needles Tuesday morning, according to a local news source.

The collision, which involved a semi-truck and a vehicle, was reported just after 7:00 a.m. on U.S. Route 95, just south of South Needles Compressor Station.

As per the report, a grey Toyota Camry collided head-on with a semi-truck hauling hay on the northbound side of the highway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles.

The patient was then flown to Colorado River Medical Center in unknown condition.

The highway was temporarily shut down as crews worked at the scene. As of 8:17 a.m., all lanes of U.S. Route 95 were reopened to traffic.
