National City, CA: Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Division Street
28-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after National City Pedestrian Accident on Division Street near Highland Avenue

National City, California (November 20, 2020) – A 28-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Wednesday night in National City, authorities said.
The major injury accident occurred just before 9 p.m., on November 18, on E. Division Street, east of Highland Avenue.
According to the police, a vehicle was traveling westbound on the roadway when it struck the female pedestrian. It was not clear if the woman was in a crosswalk or not.
As a result of the crash impact, the 28-year-old female pedestrian was thrown about 55 feet before landing back in the roadway, the officials said.
Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Division Street
First responders arrived at the scene and found the woman alert at the time but called her injuries serious.
The woman was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police. Surveillance video confirmed the vehicle was a silver sedan and was operated by a man.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
