Natasha Starner Identified as Female Pedestrian Injured in Morongo Valley Crash on Twentynine Palms Highway near Morongo Grade

Morongo Valley, California (July 7, 2021) – Natasha Starner, 32, of Twentynine Palms, has been identified as the woman who was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday morning in Morongo Valley, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 4:00 a.m., on July 3, on Twentynine Palms Highway near the top of the Morongo Grade.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Starner was walking on the shoulder of the eastbound Twentynine Palms Highway after her vehicle ran out of gas.
Unfortunately, Starner was reportedly struck by a passing vehicle.

Starner was injured in the accident and was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police. A passenger-side vehicle mirror was found at the scene, investigators believe it belongs to the suspect vehicle, most likely a 2014 Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck or sport utility vehicle.
