3 Injured, 1 Airlifted after Napa County Hot Air Balloon Crash near Yountville

Napa County, California (April 1, 2019) – Three people were injured when a hot air balloon struck live power lines near Yountville Monday morning, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at about 8:10 a.m. just south of Yountville.
As per the report, the hot air balloon owned by Napa-based company Balloons was descending when it hit live power lines.
The balloon was carrying 19 passengers and a pilot and at least one passenger in the basket came into direct contact with a live power line.
Three Hurt in Hot Air Balloon Crash in Napa County Monday
Authorities said a woman was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with severe burns to her torso and left arm. Two others aboard sustained minor injuries from the power line arcing.
The names of the patients and their condition were not immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation by the FAA.
