Napa, California (September 17, 2019) – Two people were injured in a suspected DUI wrong-way collision early Sunday morning in Napa, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 2:08 a.m. September 15, on State Highway 29 near Tower Road.

CHP said a 36-year-old woman was driving a 2015 Chevy Malibu southbound on northbound SH 29 when she collided with an oncoming 2019 Kia Forte sedan.

Both drivers were pulled out of the wreckage by the firefighters.

Two Hospitalized after Napa Car Crash on SH 29

The two were then transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa with major injuries.

CHP said alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the crash. The driver of the Chevy was taken into custody at the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
