Napa, California (December 18, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and possibly injured by a reckless driver on Monday afternoon in Napa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian crash, which happened at around 3:30 p.m. on December 16, occurred at the intersection of California Boulevard and Stadium Avenue
The accident began when an SUV driven by a female party at a high rate of speed struck a pedestrian, before slamming into a curb at Pueblo Avenue.
The initial report indicated that the SUV continued traveling and eventually crashed into at least one parked vehicle.
It then crossed over the sidewalk north of Stadium, hit a telephone pole and tree, and then flipped into the air upon the impact.
The SUV ended up smashing into a building and caught fire.
Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Reckless Driver in Napa
The female driver sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the accident.
She was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
The identity and the current condition of the pedestrian were not released.
The investigation is underway.
