1 Killed, 3 Injured in Murrieta Crash at Whitewood and Baster Roads
Murrieta, California (January 22, 2019) – One person was killed and three injured after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in the area of Murrieta, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 1:05 p.m. Tuesday at Whitewood Road and Baster Road.
As per the report, two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and declared a female passenger in one of the cars dead at the scene. Two other women and a minor suffered injuries as a result of the collision and were hospitalized.
One of the women reportedly suffered severe injuries in the collision.
The name of the deceased was withheld awaiting notification of next of kin.
Authorities closed the intersection up to around 7:20 p.m.
Officials said that the intersection would be shut down again on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for further investigation.
