Multiple People Killed in Head-On Collision on 5 Freeway near Panoche Road
Fresno, California (January 6, 2021) – Multiple people were killed in a fiery car crash that happened on Interstate 5 Freeway in Fresno on Tuesday night.
According to a local news source, the deadly collision happened on Interstate 5 Freeway near Panoche Road at about 9:15 p.m. January 5
A pickup truck was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 Freeway when it crossed over into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a big rig.
One vehicle caught fire after the collision.
Several people in the pickup truck were killed in the accident.
The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The southbound lanes of the freeway south of the Merced/Fresno county line at Panoche Road were temporarily closed as the authorities examined the scene.
