Mountain View, California (June 19, 2020) – A teen was hospitalized after being involved in a suspected hit-and-run collision Monday afternoon in Mountain View, a local news source reported.

The bicycle crash took place at approximately 7:15 p.m. on June 15, near the intersection of Central Expressway and Moffett Boulevard.

As per the report, the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle operated by an 18-year-old Mountain View man near the Mountain View intersection for unknown reasons.

Due to the impact, the teen was ejected from the bike and was left laying in the roadway by the driver who fled the scene.

CHP Investigating Mountain View Bicycle Accident near Central Expressway and Moffett Boulevard

The unidentified victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of moderate injuries sustained in the mishap.

The suspect was later arrested and taken into the police department. The driver was interviewed and ultimately released to family members
