At Least 1 Critically Injured in Mountain View 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 near Rengstorff Avenue

Mountain View, California (May 29, 2020) – At least one person was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident in Mountain View, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash, which was reported at about 1:17 p.m. Thursday, May 28, happened on Highway 101 near Rengstorff Avenue.
According to the CHP, a green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and another vehicle collided in the northbound lane of Highway 101. After the impact, the pickup truck flipped onto its side.

At least one patient was taken by responding paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition. The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
A SigAlert was issued, closing several lanes of Highway 101 near Rengstorff Avenue. As of 2:34 p.m., the road was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
