Los Angeles, California (February 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist died after crashing his bike on a freeway in the Elysian Park area of Los Angeles on Monday night, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The deadly collision happened on the transition road from south Golden State (5) Freeway to south Pasadena (110) Freeway at about 8 p.m. February 22.

The 27-year-old Glendale man was riding his bike on the freeway when he crashed in unclear circumstances.

The rider, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The freeway offramp was closed for almost an hour as an investigation into the crash was conducted.
