Motorcyclist Dead in Rear-End Crash on Highway 101 in Morgan Hill
30-Year-Old San Jose Man Killed in Morgan Hill Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 near Dunne Avenue

Morgan Hill, California (March 18, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Saturday evening in Morgan Hill, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday, March 16 on Highway 101 near Dunne Avenue.
The CHP said a 30-year-old San Jose man was riding a 2011 Yamaha northbound in the fast lane of 101 when he approached Dunne Avenue and traffic started slowing.
The rider failed to slow in time and rear-ended a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 driven by a 45-year-old San Jose woman. The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike upon the impact.

The rider was transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries. She was not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The sobriety of the rider has not yet been determined.
The crash remains under investigation.
