CHP Investigating Monterey Park Traffic Collision on 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard
Monterey Park, California (August 1, 2020) – Injuries were reported following two traffic collisions that happened in Monterey Park Friday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accidents were reported in the morning hours on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard.
As per the dispatch, a tan Ford Taurus collided with a black Chevrolet Trailblazer along the highway, at around 9:45 a.m., for unknown reasons.
The CHP said the second crash involved a motorcycle, a Dodge Ram pickup truck, a Freightliner truck and a silver Mercedes.
The wreck resulted in injuries to an unspecified number of victims. All patients were attended to by medical personnel who responded at the crash site via an ambulance.
Officials requested a tow truck to remove the Mercedes away from the scene with major front-end and left-side damage.
The mishap remains under an active investigation.
