Man Hurt in Monterey County Accident on Highway 156 near Oak Hills Drive

San Jose, California (April 10, 2020) – A man sustained major injuries in a collision involving two trucks on Thursday morning in Monterey County, according to the CHP.

The incident occurred just before 9:16 a.m. April 9, on Highway 156 near Oak Hills Drive.

According to the report, a large-engine flatbed truck and an armored truck were both traveling westbound on Highway 156 when the flatbed swerved and collided with the armored truck. The impact caused the flatbed to roll onto its side.

Man Injured in Monterey County Crash on Highway 156 

The driver of the armored truck, identified as a man from San Jose, was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas with major injuries.

The other driver suffered minor injuries.

The CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
