Monrovia, CA: Fatal Alleged DUI Crash 210 Freeway
2 Women Killed in Monrovia Crash on 210 Freeway near Huntington Drive

Monrovia, California (June 24, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon alleged DUI accident that killed two women in Monrovia.
The deadly accident transpired at about 1:50 p.m., on June 23, on 210 Freeway near Huntington Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Humberto Gonzalez, 49, of Pacoima was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in the carpool lane when, for unknown reasons, he rear-ended a 2008 Lexus ES 350 that was slowing down due to traffic ahead.
Due to the crash impact, the Lexus was pushed forward into a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck in front of it which was then pushed into a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe that was in front of it, before the Tahoe was pushed into a 2017 Mazda 3 in front of it.

Sadly, a passenger in the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to a hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
Gonzalez, who complained of pain to his legs, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
