Rider Severely Injured in Modesto Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 near North Carpenter Road Off-Ramp

Modesto, California (January 18, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle versus big rig crash that happened Monday afternoon on a highway in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist on a gray Honda CBR motorcycle was run over by a semi-truck on southbound Highway 99, just south of North Carpenter Road off-ramp.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to find the motorcyclist conscious but with severe injuries. An ambulance was requested to take the victim to the hospital.
The semi was found pulled over just south of Woodland Avenue.
All southbound lanes remained blocked for an unknown period following the crash.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
