Modesto, California (October 1, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday morning scooter accident that killed a man in Modesto.
The deadly accident involving a sit-down mobility scooter and a vehicle transpired at about 7:00 a.m., on September 30, at the intersection of Yosemite Boulevard and Ruffino Avenue, just west of La Loma Avenue.
A witness told the police that the man was crossing Yosemite Boulevard on the scooter inside a crosswalk when the westbound vehicle struck him.

The man on the scooter sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
