Stockton Woman Killed, 1 Injured in Modesto Crash on Highway 99 near Beckwith Road
Modesto, California (November 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon traffic accident that killed a Stockton woman and left another injured in Modesto.
The deadly single-vehicle accident happened at about 12:12 p.m. on Highway 99, north of Beckwith Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Pontiac sedan, driven by the Stockton woman, was headed northbound in the far-right lane when it veered left across the other lanes and crashed into the center divider.
Following the collision, the car flipped over the barrier and landed on its roof, trapping the Stockton woman and her female passenger on the southbound side of the highway, the officials said.

Sadly, the Stockton woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female passenger, also from Stockton, was hospitalized with mild-to-moderate injuries.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for about an hour due to the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
