Contra Costa, CA: Bicyclist Struck, Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on Bethel Island Road
Rider Injured in Contra Costa Bicycle Accident on Bethel Island Road near Riverview Place
Contra Costa, California (November 21, 2020) – A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last week Sunday in Contra Costa.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle accident happened at around 8:10 p.m. Sunday, November 15, on Bethel Island Road near Riverview Place.
The CHP said the bicyclist was hit by a passenger car on Bethel Island Road for unknown reasons.
The bicycle rider sustained unspecified injuries in the crash. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the passenger car did not stop to render aid to the bicyclist and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or the driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
