San Diego, California (June 26, 2021) – A motorcyclist died after slamming into the back of a bus late Friday night in the Miramar area of San Diego, authorities said.

At around 11:43 p.m. Friday, June 25, the California Highway Patrol responded to Interstate 15 at Miramar Way, to investigate the report of a traffic collision between a motorcycle and a bus.

CHP said the motorcyclist was speeding on Interstate 15 when, for an unknown reason, they rear-ended the bus.

Fatal Miramar Rear-End Collision on I-15

The rider, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, was killed in the accident.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
