52-Year-Old Driver Injured in Mira Mesa Car Crash on Mira Mesa Boulevard and Camino Ruiz

Mira Mesa, California (April 18, 2019) – A 52-year-old driver sustained severe leg injury in an accident involving two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon in Mira Mesa, according to San Diego Police Officers.
The crash was reported at about 2:35 p.m. April 17, at Mesa Boulevard and Camino Ruiz.
Police said a 2001 Infiniti G20, driven by the injured driver, was southbound on Camino Ruiz attempting to turn left onto Mira Mesa Boulevard when it collided with a 2006 Mitsubishi Outback heading north through the intersection on Camino Ruiz.
Driver Hospitalized after Mira Mesa Accident
The Infiniti driver was taken to a hospital with a fractured right femur. The injury was considered non-life threatening.
The 40-year-old woman driving the SUV was not injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
