Ceres, California (May 1, 2019) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who struck and killed while riding a custom-built, motorized tricycle Sunday night in Ceres.

Mike Vilmur, of Ceres, died in the crash that was reported at around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in the area of Service and Moffet roads.

According to a preliminary investigation, Yadira Flores, 32, of Ceres, was driving a Lexus eastbound on Service Road when she rear-ended the trike. The impact ejected Vilmur from the tricycle and threw him onto the windshield of the Lexus before he fell onto the ground.

The Ceres police officers who responded to the incident assisted in performing life-saving measures on Vilmur, but he succumbed to his injuries at about 8:55 p.m. at the scene.

The driver of the Lexus stayed at the scene after the crash.

The CHP is investigating the wreck.
