Miguel Preciadonava Killed in 3-Car Crash on Highway 166 in Santa Maria
Miguel Preciadonava ID’d as 1 of 2 Killed in Santa Maria Car Accident on Highway 166 near Bonita School Road
Santa Maria, California (June 6, 2020) – Miguel Preciadonava, 20, has been identified as one of the two drivers who were killed in a three-vehicle accident that also left several others injured on Friday evening west of Santa Maria, according to police.
The crash transpired at about 6:05 p.m., on June 5, on Highway 166 near Bonita School Road.
A 2004 Nissan 350Z, driven by Preciadonava, was traveling eastbound on Highway 166 at a high rate of speed and passing other vehicles on the right dirt shoulder of the highway when it lost control and spun across the highway near Bonita School Road, said the CHP
Preciadonava’s Nissan collided head-on with a 2017 Nissan Altima, driven by Oscar Campos, 30, of Santa Maria. As a result of the collision, the Altima flipped over and came to a rest on its roof, just off the westbound shoulder of West Black Road.
The CHP said the Nissan 350Z then continued eastbound into oncoming traffic where it finally collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Cabalt compact car, driven by Nabor Ortizlopez, 28, of Santa Maria.
Firefighters, along with the paramedics, responded to the scene and extricated both cars’ occupants from the wreckage.

Both Preciadonava and Campos were declared dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the Nissan Altima, a 6-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old boy, were airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with critical injuries.
Ortizlopez and a third passenger in the Nissan Altima, Beatriz Estrada, 28, of Santa Maria, sustained minor injuries in the crash and were treated at the scene.
Highway 166 was closed for several hours during the investigation.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
