Middletown, California (May 13, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Middletown, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision took place at about 5:36 p.m. on Highway 175, just north of Anderson Springs Road.

Authorities said two vehicles, possibly a black sedan and a white pickup truck, collided for unknown reasons. A witness of the crash said the vehicles collided head-on.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victims.

Reach medics transported one person to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
