Apple Valley, California (September 29, 2020) – Authorities have identified Michael Simon, 36, of Apple Valley, as the man who was killed in a Monday morning truck accident in Apple Valley.
The deadly accident happened at about 5:30 a.m., on September 28, at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Stoddard Wells Road.
As per the police report, a white 2015 GMC Sierra pickup truck, driven by a 46-year-old man from Bell Gardens, was traveling eastbound on Stoddard Wells Road when it stopped at the stop sign at Dale Evans Parkway.
The GMC failed to yield to traffic, entered the intersection, and was broadsided by an orange 2020 Dodge Challenger, operated by Simon. The Dodge was driving northbound, according to the officials.
Following the collision, the GMC reportedly flipped over, and the Dodge sustained significant front-end damage.

Simon was transported to St. Mary Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the GMC truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Mary Medical Center.
