54-Year-Old Michael Evans Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Crash at Eddy and Mason Streets
San Francisco, California (July 18, 2019) – 54-year-old Michael Evans of San Francisco has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run tractor-trailer driver in San Francisco Thursday morning.
The pedestrian crash occurred at about 5:40 a.m. July 18, at the intersection of Fifth and Market streets.
The accident happened when Evans was struck by a tractor-trailer while crossing the road at the intersection for unknown reasons.

Evans sustained a fatal injury in the crash. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance where he later died.
The truck driver left the scene after the collision. Police later arrested the motorist after they located the truck around 8:40 a.m. near Broadway and Front Street.
