Michael Crocketts Killed in DUI Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno
Michael Crocketts ID’d as Man Killed in Fresno Accident on Highway 41 near Shaw Avenue; Brianne Broom Arrested

Fresno, California (November 18, 2020) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in an alleged DUI car accident Monday afternoon in northeast Fresno as Michael Crocketts, 27, of Fresno.
The deadly crash happened a little before 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 16 on Highway 41, just south of Shaw Avenue.
Brianne Broom was driving a Ford Focus southbound on Highway 41 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a right dirt embankment, according to California Highway Patrol.
The impact caused the vehicle to overturn.
Crocketts, who was riding as a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected onto the embankment. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Brianne Broom Arrested For DUI in Fatal Crash in Fresno
Authorities determined that Broom was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. He eventually arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The accident remains under investigation.
