Michael Bennett ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Malibu Hit-and-Run Accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Las Flores Canyon Road
Malibu, California (October 5, 2020) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night in Malibu as Michael Bennett, 58, of Malibu.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at about 10:34 p.m. Sunday, October 4, on the Pacific Coast Highway at Flores Canyon Road.
According to the authorities, Bennett was hit by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Deadly PCH Pedestrian Accident in Malibu
Bennett was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the crash site. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark-colored sedan.
Police closed all westbound lanes of PCH at Las Flores Canyon Road as they investigated the accident.
