Motorcyclist Killed in Merced Crash on Trindade Road near Ashby Lane

Merced, California (April 1, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a pickup truck on Sunday night in Merced, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 9:30 p.m. March 31, in the westbound lane of Trindade Road at Ashby Lane.
Police said the driver of the trailer was backing out into the driveway when a pickup truck blocked the westbound lanes of Trindade at Ashby. The motorcyclist crashed into the left side of the truck and he was thrown off the bike.
Rider Dies in Merced Motorcycle Accident
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene from the injuries. The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
