Merced, CA: CHP Investigating Major Injury Collision on Belcher Avenue

Merced, California (April 10, 2021) – At least one person was injured when two vehicles collided Saturday morning in Merced, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 8:09 a.m. in the 1835 block of Belcher Avenue.

As per the report, a red Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a red Honda Civic collided for unknown reasons, blocking the roadway.

The accident resulted in major injuries to at least one person, the report said. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.

The accident left the roadway closed until at about 9:06 a.m.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
