Mendocino County, CA: Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 near Mercedes
1 Killed, 1 Injured in Mendocino County Crash on Highway 101

Mendocino County, California (February 26, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured when two vehicles collided near Mercedes in Mendocino County on Monday afternoon.
According to the CHP, the wreck happened at about 4 p.m. February 25 on Highway 101 near mile post marker 7.46.
CHP said it was raining at the time when a man drove a white 2013 Mercedes northbound on Highway 101. The vehicle, for unknown reasons, started to skid out of control and traveled into the path of oncoming traffic, colliding with a southbound black 2001 Toyota.
The driver of the Mercedes was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver was transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the CHP.
