Pedestrian Injured in Mecca Accident at Highway 111 and Wheeler Street
Mecca, California (January 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was injured after a traffic accident Wednesday morning in the area of Mecca, according to a local news source.
The collision was reported at about 10:08 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, at Highway 111 and Wheeler Street.
As per the report, a pedestrian was struck by a truck for reasons still under investigation.
Responding firefighters found the man pinned underneath the truck. The unidentified man was extricated.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene to take the man to the hospital. It remained unclear how many people were airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
