2 Injured in Mead Valley Car Crash at Alexander Street and Cajalco Road
Mead Valley, California (August 30, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision at an intersection in Mead Valley Friday morning, August 28, a local news source reported.
The four-vehicle crash occurred at about 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Alexander Street and Cajalco Road.
The accident happened when an officer spotted a Nissan Altima, with a back window that appeared to have been shot out. The officer then followed the Altima, which then sped away through a stop sign at the Mead Valley intersection to escape.
The chase went for about two miles south on Alexander Street when the Altima operator ran the red light at Cajalco Road and slammed into a BMW.
Due to the impact of the collision, two other vehicles collided while the Altima rolled over.

Meanwhile, both the Altima and the BMW motorists were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The suspect, who had drug paraphernalia in his car, could face felony charges evading and causing injury.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
