McKinleyville, California (October 29, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night traffic accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured in McKinleyville.
The crash happened at about 10:07 p.m., on October 28, at the intersection of Hiller Road and Central Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by a 2500 GMC pickup truck at the intersection. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian talking but was lying down.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
