Maximilian Alamanza ID’d as Child Killed in Napa Pedestrian Crash on Buhman Avenue
Napa, California (August 8, 2020) – Maximilian Alamanza, 2, of Napa, has been identified as the child who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Napa, authorities said.
The deadly auto-pedestrian accident occurred just before 3:00 p.m., on August 6, on Buhman Avenue near the Browns Valley School.
Alamanza was visiting the Buhman Park along with his mother when, for unknown reasons, he suddenly went into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle that was driving northbound on Buhman Avenue, the police said.
Maximilian Alamanza Dies after Pedestrian Accident on Buhman Avenue in Napa
Alamanza was transported to a hospital with major injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, Alamanza succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Intoxication was not suspected of having contributed to the accident.
Buhman Avenue was closed between Browns Valley Road and Meadowbrook Drive for about three hours following the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
