Matthew Loper ID’d as Person Killed in Barstow Traffic Accident on National Trails Highway and Hodge Road
Barstow, California (October 22, 2020) – Matthew Derek Loper, 35, of Helendale, has been identified as the person who was killed in a head-on crash on Thursday morning in Barstow, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 8:00 a.m. on National Trails Highway and Hodge Road.
According to the police, a school bus collided with a 2020 Nissan Sentra, driven by Loper, on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

Loper was pronounced dead at the scene.
