Matthew Klaniecki Hit and Killed by Train in Puyallup
Man Killed in Puyallup Train Accident at North Meridian and 5th Avenue NW Identified
Puyallup, Washington (December 4, 2019) – Authorities have identified the 20-year-old man who was fatally struck by a train Sunday afternoon in Puyallup, a local news source reported.
Matthew Klaniecki, of Puyallup, was hit by the train at around 12:05 p.m. at North Meridian and 5th Avenue NW.
Police said Klaniecki was trying to cross the tracks when he was struck by an Amtrak train.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and died in the crash. Medical Examiners ruled his death as an accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
