Rio Linda, California (June 29, 2021) – Matthew Chacon, 26, of Rio Linda, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a Thursday night traffic accident in Rio Linda, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.

The deadly accident occurred at about 9:18 p.m., on June 24, at 22nd Street and E Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle, operated by Chacon, collided with a dark-colored Ford F-250 pickup truck on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, Chacon was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
